Marilú Villanueva is a New York City based metal smith and illustrator . A
native of Puerto Rico, Marilú received her BFA from the Savannah College
of Art and Design. After graduation, she worked as model maker for a number of designers in New York City. The work
she created for them has been featured in Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Marie
Claire, In Style, and W Magazine, along with many other national and
international publications, and is sold in stores around the world.
Marilú is currently showcasing pieces from her personal collection.
Inspired by the intrinsic value, physical properties, and mystical
qualities that the mediums of metal and stone encompass, which
she perceives as magical; she creates objects of adornment
that inevitably speak and follow stories of her life.
